SCAD Projects
Alright, I haven’t posted anything in FOREVER, so here goes.
Here are some projects that I’m working on, complete with descriptions and pictures!
Vector and Raster Graphics:
Redesign a local restaurant’s image. Consists of creating a new logo, menu, coasters, and t-shirts. I decided to choose Howard’s BBQ in beautiful Lillington, NC. Their current logo is pretty awful. Their food is, Incredible to say the least. One rule that I have heard, and I believe to be true, is that the crappier the sign, the better the BBQ. As you can tell, from the picture, that the BBQ must be pretty awesome.
You see? There’s nothing distinguishable about the logo, and there’s nothing that says, “HEY! This is a BBQ place!” So, that is why I decided to choose Howard’s. The logo is due on Monday, so I’ll post the final version next week, but here are some ROUGHS.
So, don’t judge me.

Motion Concepts:
We have to create a 30-second animation. We are given a random season and color. I was given Red and Summer. So, I decided to create a narrative with a 50’s art style. So here’s a still, just as a teaser. The final version is due Monday, so I’ll post the FINAL version of this project sometime next week along with the Howard’s logo.

DVD Production:
This class is for learning how to make real authentic DVDs. Not any of that iDVD with the apple logo in the corner crap, FOR REAL, LEGIT DVDs.
For the second project, we are assigned to make a DVD for our own portfolio, so here is a still from my main menu. Each arrow is going to be a button, leading to sub-menus. I am also going to add my name on there somewhere.
So, there are my projects. I’ll post the FINAL versions next week.
I’m gonna start blogging more often.
